*"Spiders are more afraid of us than we are of them" is probably something everyone has heard while growing up. The idea that we shouldn't be scared of their being a spider near us because just like we're scared of the spider, the spider is scared of us, and likely even more so scared. And while some spiders may be deadly, most are harmless or just a nuisance, so we shouldn't be afraid in the first place.
